Job Description : Room Attendant

Guest Service:
1. Basic knowledge of hotel. Example, Name of meeting rooms
2. Always polite and courteous when approached by guests
3. Always knocks and calls out before entering guest room
4. Helps maintain clean working environment at all times
5. Refer guest complaints to management
6. Be alert to guest needs. Example, extra towels
7. Always work in a quiet, orderly fashion

Attitude:
1. Proper dress code at all times
2. Well groomed at all times
3. Always punctual for scheduled shifts
4. Good attendance record
5. Follows established Company Policies and Procedures
6. Full knowledge of Fire Procedures
7. Reports any deficiencies to management
8. Maintains good positive working attitude when performing duties
9. Helps maintain company standards at all times
10. Attend all staff meetings
11. Responds to all on:call situations.
12. Always conscientious of Health and Safety when performing duties

Team Work:
1. Helps co:workers when need arises
2. Performs extra duties from time to time when need arises
3. Full co:operation with management
4. Good team:work and co:operation with all staff members
5. Never argues with co:workers in public areas

Completion Of Duties:
1. Strip and make all beds in guest rooms according to company standards
2. Clean all washrooms in guest rooms according to company standards
3. Properly vacuum complete carpet area in guest rooms
4. Any maintenance problems to be reported to housekeeping immediately
5. Any room damages to be reported to housekeeper immediately
6. report any unusual activity on you assigned floor to Housekeeper or Front Desk immediately
7. Help laundry as required
8. Proper stocking and maintaining of your cart at all times
9. Always close drapes, turn off lights and sign check sheets when room is completed
10. Ensure all dirty dishes and
11. Double check drawers and cupboards to ensure nothing was left behind by guest
12. Any items left by guest must be turned into Lost and Found immediately
13. All rooms to be cleaned according to company standards
14. Ensure room literature is properly placed in rooms
15. Advise housekeeper of any outstanding DND rooms after 2:00 p.m.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotels established standards of cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
REPORTS TO: HK Manager, AGM, GM, HR Manager and Corporation President.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Guest Rooms, Guest and Service Corridors, and Housekeeping Office
Job involves working:
:Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
:Under variable noise levels.
:Outdoors/indoors.
:Around fumes and/or odor hazards.
:Around dust and/or mite hazards.
:Around chemicals.
:Around bio:hazards.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Linen Control, Administrative Staff, Engineering, Guest Service Agents, House Persons, Sales Coordinators, Executive Housekeeper, HK Manager, Maintenance Manager, GSA Manager, Sales Manager, Assistant Manager, General Manager.
External: Hotel guests/visitors.
