Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Military Admissions Counselor.JOB SUMMARY:Post University is searching for self-motivated, goal-oriented individuals to join our close-knit team of Military Admissions Counselors. As a member of our Post University team, the individual will share in a 125-year tradition of helping people achieve their personal and professional goals. Located in Waterbury, Connecticut, Post University has a vibrant campus and an excellent online program. As a Military Admissions Counselor, you will be responsible for following up on military student inquiries regarding achieving a college degree through Post University's Accelerated Degree Program; processing military student applications; processing requests for Official Military and other College Transcripts; conducting initial transcript evaluations in order to advise the military student of their options of a degree program; assisting the military student in the registration process; and providing assistance to the military student in obtaining Tuition Assistance. Located in Waterbury, Connecticut, Post University offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits packages that include medical, dental, 401(k) and tuition benefits.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, dedicated, and able to multi-task. Knowledge of Military Tuition Assistance, GI Bill Benefits, and other military related educational programs is desirable. Must have a customer focused philosophy in working with potential students. Prior military experience is desired, but not required. Must be able to learn quickly and adapt. Must have excellent communication, listening and customer service skills and an engaging phone presence. Other desirable traits or experience: Comfortable with computers and able to learn a program quickly. Knowledgeable of all Microsoft Office products. Comfortable speaking on the telephone. Knowledge of military educational programs desired. Must be detailed oriented. Must hold customer service at a high premium. Veterans/Military experience preferred Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
