Boat Works of South Windsor, Inc. is currently seeking a full:time General Manager to oversee the day:to:day operations as it currently expands its services into the commercial market.
Boat Works, located in central Connecticut, provides boat owners with a range of maintenance and repair services, parts and accessories, and a diverse selection of new and used boats. We have been servicing customers, commercial clients, manufacturers and municipalities for over 30 years.

Overview of Duties
:Oversee and aid service writers and counter staff to determine customer requirements, document needs and convey to service staff
:Maintain and delegate a daily service schedule for optimal efficiency and performance
:Help meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements of departments, aid in preparing annual and monthly budgets, oversee expenditures, monitor and analyze variances and initiate corrective actions if needed
:Estimate repair costs and time requirements, while tracking job performance
:Improve customer service quality results and expectations by studying, evaluating and modifying existing procedures and/or develop new procedures as required
:Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training of new staff
:Aid in the sales and marketing of current services offered and development of new areas of services to support growth of company
:Minimum of 5 years management experience in marine, auto, power equipment or similar retail/service oriented businesses
:Boaters and boating enthusiasts are preferred but not required
:Solid written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with customer service aptitude
:High level of organization
:Ability to be assertive, self:motivated and self:directed
:Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
:Strong leader with employee training and management experience
:Technological proficiency with PC:based software (Microsoft Excel/Word, POS, database management)
:Flexibility to work half day on Saturdays and extended hours, in season, or when needed
