Job Description:/h3:
Candidate will be responsible for performing first piece, in:process, and final inspection of cable and harness assemblies. Must be able to perform visual inspection and use inspection tools including micrometers, gauges, calipers and measurement tools.
:Performs first piece, in:process, and final inspections.
:Records non:conformances found at inspection.
:Works with management to ensure customer schedule compliance.
:Maintains qualified status on all required in:house training.
:Follows travelers, customer supplied documentation, or instructions from Supervisor for direction.
:Checks work periodically and upon completion for accuracy.
:Participates in attaining Cable and Harness departmental goals and objectives by performing job requirements at the highest level of accuracy.
:Works in a productive and efficient manner so the production schedules of the Company are met.
:Assures that the Cable and Harness Department is in compliance with the Companys Quality System.
:Participates in internal and external quality system audits as needed.
:Analyzes departmental processes and makes process improvement recommendations.
:Participates in or coordinates committee activities as needed.
:Works with customers and other departments to expedite or resolve problems to ensure customer product delivery dates are met.
:Assures that all assembly equipment is properly maintained.
:Ability to read electronic assembly drawings, schematics and blue prints.
:Ability to identify electronic components.
:Perform crimp inspection both in:process and final.
:IPC/WHMA:A:620 Certification preferred.
:Maintains an organized and neat work area.
Minimum: Three years experience as a Cable and Harness Assembler with increased responsibilities. Preferred: Three years experience as a Cable and Harness Assembler with increased responsibilities and two years experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector.
Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school. College degree in engineering or other related area preferred.
