The CNA is a member of the care team and works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and performs personal care services as directed by the Director of Nursing (DON) or RN in accordance with Plan of Care.
The CNA is responsible for observing, reporting and documenting client care performed, Light housekeeping as necessary to meet client needs, and promoting quality, continuity and safety.

Responsibilities of a BRIGHTSTAR CARE CNA BEYOND Licensure & C.N.A. Training include, but are not limited to:
Personal care such as; Bathing, Grooming, Oral care, Assistance with dressing and undressing
Assist the client with toileting activities, Assist in feeding or Feed clients who are unable to feed themselves
Assist in the client-administration of medication (medication reminder)
Observe client s physical, mental and emotional conditions: document observed changes, Report any changes to RN.
Perform meal preparation and clean-up
Change bed linens/make bed
Keep an orderly environment.
Support good skin care to prevent skin breakdown (turn and reposition client, actively encourage movement)
Assist client with active and passive range of motions as defined by the plan of care
Provide client with help walking and transferring
Provide transport to doctor appointments, outside activities and shopping
Participate in teaching according to the plan of care.
Assist in providing a safe environment and promote quality client care through adherence to established policies, procedures and standards
Respond rapidly and appropriately in an emergency situation
Use equipment properly and in a safe manner.
