Duties include developing and implementing successful strategies to win competitive solicitations, successfully planning and executing CNO maintenance availabilities, coordinating work in Groton, Submarine Base New London, off:site locations, between EB sites and between subcontractors, and managing execution of work safely, on time and on budget with requisite quality in Groton or at remote locations. Duties also include resolution of emergent issues to support scheduled work, managing work paper, material and GFI/GFE, and support off site operations. Duties may also include management of modernization work performed in Naval Shipyards and at Naval Bases (such as SUBASE NLON). The candidate will ensure work is performed efficiently and in accordance with specifications/drawings/work procedures and company policies. Candidate must be willing to travel to other Shipyards as needed in the continental United States, Hawaii or the Far East. Position is for two openings; 1 opening will be 1st shift and the remaining will be 2nd shift.5+ years of experience in the management of Submarine Programs, Engineering, Operations, Site management or equivalent military experience is preffered; Additional experience in managing on:hull execution of Submarine Maintenance and Modernization installations is preferredFamiliarity with Shipyard or Navy involvement with work on board submarines required.Bachelors or MasterA?s degree is preferredCandidate must be able to operate independently, possess strong planning and program management skills and must have a thorough knowledge of ship systems equipment. A thorough knowledge of Submarine maintenance, especially relating to safety, work execution procedures, program management, and availability certification is preferred.
