Control and Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt and Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including: requirements analysis and definition, system and software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification and validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.
Job responsibilities include a wide range of exciting and challenging activities which involve application of fundamental engineering principles in the analysis of engine system operating requirements and the development of engine control and diagnostic systems. Candidates should have successfully demonstrated analytical and mathematical modeling skills to solve complex control, diagnostic and/or software system problems and the ability to work at the implementation level.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelors degree with 5 yrs. experience
* 7 + yrs. Systems Engineering and Integration
* 7 + yrs. Classical Control Design
* 7 + yrs. Multivariable and Optimal Control Design
* 7 + yrs. Software Engineering
* 7 + yrs. Embedded Systems
* 7 + yrs. Dynamic System Modeling (actuators, sensors, propulsion system)
Preferred Qualifications:
:Masters degree with 3 yrs. experience
:Engine Health Management
:System Simulation
:Verification and Validation
:Dynamic Stability Analysis
:Statistical Data Analysis / Signal Processing
:As a member of a dynamic engineering organization, these positions offer a candidate an excellent opportunity multidisciplinary engineering skills in the development of complex engine control systems and software.
